Abstract: Emotions are one of the important mechanisms to control the behavior of virtual characters both for the reason of giving them a personality as well as automatically producing animations by simulating their internal dynamics. In our talk, we will define what is needed to model personality, mood and emotion, we will describe memory processes and show how far it is possible to interact today with believable emotional Virtual Humans. We will show a few applications of social Virtual Humans as well as Social Robots.
