Abstract: Establishing consistent correspondence (or mapping) [Sumner and Popović 2004; Kraevoy and Sheffer 2004; Jain and Zhang 2006] between different shapes is a fundamental task both in computer graphics and computer vision. Specifically, the consistent correspondence technique transforms 3D models (commonly represented by surface meshes) with different connectivity into compatible meshes (i.e. meshes with the same topology) while preserving surface detail features, as shown in Figure 1.
