Abstract: As depth sensing devices become popular and affordable, end-users can have the freedom to choose a different point of view in a multicamera transmission. In this paper, we propose an image-based rendering (IBR) algorithm to generate perceptually accurate virtual views of a scene in real-time. The proposed algorithm is implemented and tests with publicly available datasets are presented. From these results one can evaluate the efficiency and quality of the algorithm.
