Abstract: The physical simulation of garments is a challenging proposition. Their practical use still requires one to consider a balance between accuracy and performance. GPUs have in recent years started to prove themselves as an excellent choice for challenging computational problems which exhibit a high level of parallelism. In this paper we present our GPU-based garment simulation framework which allows developers to benefit from the advances in GPUs for computing purposes, while abstracting from the underlying technical details. We implemented several simulation schemes to allow for the accurate (non-linear) simulation of garments, targeting both real-time and offline simulation.
