Abstract: We present an efficient technique for dynamically tessellating generalized cylinders. We make direct use of the generalized cylinder's screen-space projection in order to minimize the number of polygons required to construct its image. Used in conjunction with our A-Buffer polygon renderer, our technique strikes a good balance between speed and image quality when used at small to medium scales, generally surpassing other methods for rendering generalized cylinders.
