Per-Pixel Divisions

In Journal of Graphics Tools, 7(4), 2002.
Abstract: We describe a method to perform per-pixel divisions using graphics hardware, with a simple iterative algorithm. In the worst case, the number of rendering passes is 17 for approximate divisions, and 18 for accurate divisions. The algorithm can be used for 3D vector normalization, evaluating complex lighting models, and image reconstruction.
